What is the objective of this position? What is the expected outcome?

Due to the integration of new projects and the growth of existing ones, there is a need to expand the design capacity within the Static and Structural Components Operational Unit.

The work will involve providing support for both the detailed design phase and manufacturing, industrialization, and fleet requirements. The components include a significant portion of static parts: radial structures, casings, and seals, among others. External customers primarily consist of major OEMs (Rolls-Royce, Pratt & Whitney, and General Electric), as well as several consortiums (TP400, EJ200, and FCAS).

The specific tasks assigned initially will depend on the skills and experience of the selected candidate. The long-term objective is to rotate through different phases, components, and clients. The expected outcome is to achieve a level of expertise that enables independent and versatile work, problem-solving ability, sound judgment, and innovation capacity.

 What profile are we looking for?

• Education: Master’s degree in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautics, or related fields.
• Required experience: We seek talent, whether junior or highly experienced professionals.
• Languages: High level of spoken and written English (preferably certified at C1 level).
• The following knowledge and skills will be valued:
  • Unigraphics NX
  • Understanding of Design for Manufacturing and Assembly and Manufacturing Processes
  • Familiarity with TeamCenter or other PLM software
  • Problem-solving skills in high-demand environments

 What training will you receive to carry out the work?

We will provide training in:

• CAD tools and blueprint interpretation.
• Design gateway processes.
• Design considerations: interfaces, gaps and overlaps, cost, weight, stress, etc.
• Manufacturing processes for static components of aircraft engines.
• Product and process management tools and software.
• Quality management of aerospace components.

You will provide service from our headquarters in Zamudio (Bizkaia), working alongside professionals with extensive experience in the sector.

The selected candidate will join a team of designers consisting of both young and experienced professionals. The working team includes experts from various industrial process areas, quality, stress analysis, materials, and aerodynamics (mainly, but not exclusively).
