Role purpose:

 

We are looking for a passionate designer to join the Airfoils team and work on the design and development phase of IPT (Intermediate Pressure Turbine) blades and NGVs. This is a strategic project carried out in collaboration with the customer, Rolls-Royce.

As a designer, your role will be to define and develop a product that meets all internal and customer specifications and requirements. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team, which will allow you to gain a comprehensive view of the product design lifecycle, learn industry engine standards, oversee the manufacturing process and assess potential deviations in the parts, ensuring compliance with the acceptance criteria.

 

 

Your main responsibilities / What you will do:

 

  • Carry out turbine design activities to achieve a component that meets the established design criteria.
  • Technically manage design activities, ensuring compliance with the deadlines set by the project lead and the customer’s requirements.
  • Produce accurate and detailed technical diagrams, drawings and reports.
  • Assess and evaluate parts that present deviations from the original drawings, proposing effective solutions.

 

Who we are looking for:

 

  • Education: Degree in Industrial Engineering / Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering / Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering or similar, preferably specialised in Mechanical Design.
  • Experience: Previous experience will be valued.
  • Required/valued knowledge:
    • Unigraphics NX for computer-aided design (CAD).
    • Ability to interpret technical drawings and geometric tolerances.
    • Familiarity with Teamcenter or other PLM software.
    • Strong problem-solving skills in high-demand environments.
  • Languages: Advanced level of Spanish, spoken and written.
  • Soft Skills:
