Materials and Processes Specialist (F/M/X)

Job Objective:

At ITP AERO, a company specialized in the design, manufacture, and service support of aeronautical turbines, we are looking to immediately incorporate a person with training in Materials and Processes into the Materials team that supports Service Support activities.

Your main responsibilities / What you will do:

  • Evaluation of deviations observed in the different stages of service support of components compared to what is considered acceptable in the engine manual through Technical Variances (TVs).
  • Evaluation of proposals for changes in the engine manuals to include those deviations or defects observed and considered acceptable.
  • Development, evaluation, and acceptance of repair schemes that make it possible to repair observed defects in parts, allowing their continued service instead of replacement.
  • Review of materials affected by REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization, and Restriction of Chemicals).

Who we are looking for:

  • Education: Degree or Master’s in materials, physics, chemistry, or Engineering.
  • Experience: Previous experience with materials and processes of aeronautical components will be valued.
  • Knowledge to be valued:
    • Training in materials and processes of aeronautical components.
    • Knowledge of inspection processes, defect evaluation, and repair of aeronautical components.
    • Writing and updating technical documentation.
    • Knowledge of basic cleaning processes and NDT.
  • Languages: High level of English. Certified C1 level.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Teamwork. Coordination and communication.
    • Autonomy and proactivity.
    • Results-oriented.
    • Ability to learn and adapt.
    • Motivation to seek daily improvement.
    • Willingness to work in a dynamic team.

Why choose this vacancy?

The maintenance of aeronautical engines is a growing market where a profile in materials and processes adds a lot of value. The defects faced are very varied and changing, so learning is continuous.

Who will I work with?

In the Materials and Processes team, we are divided into three areas where technology development, engineering processes such as design, manufacturing, and service support, and the experimental laboratory part intersect. In this specific position, the focus would be on the service support part of the components that have already been assembled and have run in their respective engines.

The workplace would be Alcobendas (offices) with periodic visits to Aljavir (assembly and dispatch of new modules and disassembly of engines that arrive for maintenance).

Deadline for applications:

The application period will be open until March 7th
