What is the objective of this position? What is the expected outcome?
At ITP Aero, we are looking to recruit a Commodity Buyer for the Subcontracting area within the Supply Chain Directorate. This is a global role and will be responsible for leading the procurement strategy for its category across all company sites.
The scope of the role includes:
1.- Defining the sourcing strategy for the Subcontracting commodity (heat treatments, coatings, special processes, machining), including supplier selection, contract definition, and operational execution in terms of QCD (Quality–Cost–Delivery).
2.- Leading supply chain management, establishing stable and robust relationships with strategic suppliers. This includes supplier selection and development, as well as maintaining long-term relationships that ensure contract compliance and service levels.
3.- Leading commercial negotiations to secure the best conditions in terms of price, quality, and delivery/service.
4.- Leading the Supplier Management Team (SMT) for each supplier, ensuring service delivery and full integration of suppliers into ITP operations. This includes managing communication with suppliers, particularly where suppliers serve multiple ITP business areas.
5.- Managing supply chain risks and ensuring compliance with supply chain-related regulations. This includes assessing and mitigating risks associated with non-delivery, market changes, and conflicts of interest, as well as ensuring compliance with internal and external legal and ethical policies related to procurement activities.
What profile are we looking for?
- Education: Degree in Engineering (Bachelor’s or Master’s level)
- Required experience: Solid experience in MRP (SAP) and ideally in demand management and procurement processes
- Required knowledge:
- Contract planning
- Supplier negotiation
- Supplier and bid analysis
- Project coordination
- SAP management
- ARIBA (Buying, Sourcing, Contracts)
- Languages:
- B2 English: B2 level and fluent Spanish.
- Soft Skills:
- Communication: Ability to articulate ideas clearly, negotiate effectively, and build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Problem-solving: Strong ability to identify and resolve issues arising during supplier selection, procurement, and supply processes
- Analytical skills: Capability to analyse markets and complex data, identify trends, and make decisions to optimise costs while ensuring quality and on-time delivery
- Leadership: Ability to lead and manage SMT teams and the supply chain (recovery plans, penalties, guarantees, etc.)
- Teamwork: Ability to collaborate with multiple internal stakeholders (business units, programmes, etc.)
- Organised and methodical approach
- Strong IT skills and digital mindset

You will work within a multidisciplinary team, including operational procurement and supply chain quality functions, with continuous interaction with other procurement teams and operational areas (business units) as internal customers.
