Associate Director Supply Chain – Subcontracting & Special Processes (F/M/X)

 

Purpose of the position:
The Associate Director Supply Chain – Subcontracting & Special Processes will be responsible for designing, developing, and managing a robust, efficient global supply chain for Subcontracting and Special Processes, ensuring operational excellence, competitiveness, and sustainability.

Position mission:
Ensure the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of a robust and efficient Supply Chain for Subcontracting and Special Processes, with a global vision across different products and by developing relationships with key suppliers. Align strategy and growth that support the company’s strategic objectives, ensuring operational excellence, competitiveness, and sustainability, while fostering team development and meeting quality, cost, and delivery targets in a sustainable, risk‑controlled way.

 

Main responsibilities
• Design, develop, and manage a Global Supply Chain for Subcontracting and Special Processes within the Direct Material category, in line with the company’s Strategic and Industrial Plan (Make/Buy decisions), ensuring competitiveness and operational excellence.
• Lead supplier relationships: select, negotiate, and contract suppliers, ensuring compliance with quality, cost, and delivery standards aligned with business objectives.
• Lead supplier management: manage supply performance (Quality, Cost, Delivery) to meet defined specifications, objectives, and short‑ and mid‑term demand.
• Transform the Subcontracting and Special Processes Supply Chain through the execution of transformation projects.
• Empower cross‑functional and highly experienced teams by leading projects.
• Strengthen collaboration with internal Engineering, Materials, and Quality stakeholders to develop the company’s expertise and authority to approve new Subcontracting and Special Processes suppliers.
• Risk management: identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks associated with the Supply Chain to ensure resilience and continuity.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize costs, processes, and efficiency.
• Develop and lead the Supply Chain team, fostering professional growth, collaboration, and alignment with organizational objectives.
• Monitor market trends and supplier performance, proposing strategic actions to maintain competitiveness.

 

Profile:
The role requires a deep understanding of the business model, strategic vision, knowledge of customer needs, and industry dynamics.

Education and experience:
• Higher education, preferably in Engineering, although other university degrees will be considered if they provide technical knowledge or significant experience in industrial processes and procurement management.

• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience, with a solid track record in:
o managing and leading relationships with external stakeholders, including Supply Chain departments, customers, strategic suppliers, and other key partners.
o negotiation processes and comprehensive management of supply contracts, ensuring compliance with cost, deadlines, volume, quality, and service level requirements.
o managerial positions, leading and developing teams, with the ability to motivate, coordinate, and manage talent in dynamic environments.

• Technical knowledge of industrial processes, especially related to Subcontracting and Special Processes, enabling a deep understanding of operational needs and technical purchasing criteria.

• Proficiency in English and Spanish.
