Production Leader
Main Responsibilities
ORGANIZATIONAL MANAGEMENT
- Ensure compliance with daily start and end-of-shift meetings
- Ensure compliance with daily short-cycle meetings
- Organize tasks efficiently with available resources
- Ensure the team meets standards and take corrective action in case of deviations
- Ensure teams have all necessary tools for operators to perform their work
- Ensure the team updates the system regarding overtime payments, absences, vacations, taxis, etc.
- Ensure all tools are labeled and stored according to 5S principles
- Ensure compliance with management and visual standards
- Ensure all area actions have an assigned owner and closing date
- Ensure Kamishibai audits are completed
PEOPLE DEVELOPMENT
- Ensure operators complete all mandatory training and required courses (onboarding, etc.)
- Ensure team members do not allow collaborators to perform tasks they are not certified for
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to teams
- Understand and correctly apply the internal regulations manual / labor relations
- Serve as a role model for the High-Performance Culture (Pillars and 7 Habits)
- Understand and apply the narrative strategy (the “what” and the “how”), our values and behaviors
HEALTH & SAFETY
- Act as the preventive leader in the workshop
- Be informed by leaders and report any potential risks (unsafe acts or conditions)
- Officially communicate any incident or accident to superiors and designated personnel
- Investigate and analyze work-related accidents and incidents
- Assess risks in workstations and the area in general (review ergonomic suitability of workstations)
- Stop operations with deficiencies or risks that affect the process or people’s safety
- Ensure personnel have the necessary PPE, use it properly, and keep it in good condition
CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT MANAGEMENT
- Guarantee implementation of decided standards as production manager
- Encourage the team to contribute innovative ideas
Who Are We Looking For?
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field
Experience:
Minimum 3 years in a similar role, managing people and coordinating teams.
Required Knowledge:
- Manufacturing processes (machining, casting, bending, welding, etc.)
- Production management
- Manufacturing engineering
- OEE (efficiency measurement: machine & operator)
- Team management
- Industrial safety (products & people)
- Intermediate to advanced Office skills (Excel)
Languages: english intermediate.
