METALLURGICAL ENGINEER

Objective of the position:

Conduct the necessary metallurgical tests for the development, qualification, and control of repair and manufacturing processes, adhering to customer and authority requirements and standards.

Your main responsibilities:

• Perform various testing processes to qualify metallization processes (microstructure, adhesion, Vickers hardness, and bending)
• Conduct qualification tests for processes, welders, and fusion welding operators (TIG, MIG, Resistance, LMD, CAW, etc.)
• Perform qualification tests for Heat Treatment processes (precipitation, solutionizing, brazing, etc.)
• Execute process control tests for production and repair processes
• Update and improve the technical instructions of the metallurgical laboratory
• Provide technical assistance to production areas
• Develop and apply chemical analysis techniques to electrolytic coating and chemical cleaning processes
• Prepare chemical analysis indicator reports

Who we are looking for:

Education: Chemical Engineer in Materials or Materials Engineer.

Experience:

• 2 years in a similar position
• Teamwork
• Development of metallographic and chemical tests
• Interpretation of standards and specifications
• Gravimetric and volumetric analysis
• Handling of measurement equipment for chemical analysis
• Handling of corrosion tests in saline environments

• Handling of salt spray chamber
