COMMUNICATIONS AND ENGAGEMENT SPECIALIST
ITP Aero is looking to recruit a passionate communications specialist to deliver the business’ ambitious communications strategy, drive employee engagement and embed the ITP brand within the aerospace industry and local community.
This will be a varied and interesting role that will provide lots of challenge. The number one priority of the role will be helping to lead internal communication and engagement activity at our Hucknall Site, which employs nearly 800 employees, as well as our other UK sites. You will be focussed on creating a positive culture and working environment for our people. The role will also have a responsibility for ITP Aero’s external communications in the UK, including support to Government Relations at a local and national level. You will work to engage our local communities, support media relations and create content for our social media platforms in coordination with the Communications & Government Affairs corporate department.
The role is based in Hucknall, UK, with occasional travel to Leicestershire and ITP HQ in Spain. There is an option to work from home up to two days per week.

What are the key objectives of this role?
- Defining and executing an annual communication plan for the UK, aligned with ITP Aero's corporate strategy.
- Working closely with the UK leadership team to help shape and deliver a clear communications campaign to promote employee engagement within the workplace.
- Working closely with the Communications & Government Affairs department to ensure global strategy implementation in the UK.
- Managing employee, customer and community events and coordinating visits of government and other customers and officials to the organisation.
- Seeking out UK internal news opportunities to share within ITP Aero globally, then working with the cooperate communications team to create UK content for social media.
- Writing press releases, speeches, and other communication materials related to Government affairs, funding opportunities/programmes.
- Keeping track of legislative, policy and funding activities at local, regional, and national levels, and preparing and presenting summaries to senior management on relevant topics.
- Promoting local community engagement.
- Supporting positive internal and external communication in line with our commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
- Boosting the ITP Aero brand in the UK.
What profile are we looking for?
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Relevant experience and a passion for internal communications & employee engagement.
- Ability to work at a global level, with colleagues from different nationalities and cultures.
- Project Management experience.
- Experience in external communications to boost the company’s profile in the UK.
- Social media and digital communications experience.
- Ability to build strong relationships across the business, with internal employees and the wider community.
- It would be great if you have some Government Relations experience or an interest in supporting the ITP Leadership team, both at local and national level.

What is the remuneration and competitive employee benefits?
The role is graded Staff Grade 9 to10. Base salary will start from £48,000 depending on the skills and experience of the successful candidate.
