India Engineering Role (Expat, Manufacturing Technologist)

Objective of the position

• We are looking to recruit a Manufacturing Technologist from within ITP (experienced in either cold forming, laser cutting or conventional welding), to support our strategic project in India for an anticipated period of up-to 24 months

key accountabilities

• Create, validate and maintain process compliance through both the generation of shop floor instructions and the participation in audit procedures
• Approve process data cards/procedures, process or stage drawings
• Use of Build in Quality tools such as Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis (PFMEAs), and Control Plans to “build in quality”
• Capture, analyse and use data to improve the current and future capability of manufacturing processes
• Day to day planning of projects and resolution of technical problems
• Liaison with design, manufacturing, quality to ensure delivery of parts to set timescales and verifying the design intent has been met
• Support production to ensure product flow in the factory and drive continuous improvements to eliminate the need for concessions and rework
• Collaborate and share best practices to support development of local experts within team
• Work with interfacing teams to ensure technical aspects of manufacturing methods, processes are understood and accounted for as required
• Support to industrial development and commissioning / capability proving of new machines

It is essential that the successful candidate

• You will need to be degree qualified (or equivalent) or have the technical experience/ manufacturing knowledge of either cold forming, laser cutting or conventional welding
• General awareness of Manufacturing Systems (MES, SAP, TeamCentre)
• Has supported manufacturing change, such as a facility move, technology insertion, new product introduction
• Has in-depth knowledge of materials widely used in the aerospace industry such as titanium and its alloys
• Possesses a pragmatic decision-making ability, with the drive to resolve issues which arise in production environment
• Has excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Follows a data driven approach to problem solving
• Has a good understanding of quality management systems and special processes controlling procedures and documentation.

Who will you be working with?

• You will be part of the India development multidisciplinary team and report to the Engineering Site Lead

What are the working hours?

• Days, working Monday to Friday

What is the location? 

• This role will be based in India, Hyderabad and may require some travel to Spain and the UK
