NTS POLISHER/FINISHER

Role purpose:

ITP Aero UK is recruiting for a Polisher/Finisher, to join our growing team in Hucknall - UK - on a full-time permanent basis, 38 hours per week on a 3-shift pattern.

The successful candidate will:

Be working in a multi-skilled cell to operate a polishing/finishing process. As such this area requires someone with good team working skills and able to work on their own initiative to maximise the productivity of the area to support business requirements.

The process involves dressing, polishing and finishing vanes, in line with set standards and procedures. This process is strictly controlled and requires adherence to health and safety policy. The operations have a high manual handling content.

Who we are looking for:

Core duties and responsibilities will include:

• Use of air tools
• Operating machinery
• Working to quality procedures and implementing improvement activities
• Supporting cost reduction initiatives
• Working process improvements
• Support production to ensure product flow in the factory
• Assist in resolving technical problems

Essential Criteria

• Has knowledge of the processes mentioned above.
• Has a professional and flexible attitude.
• Has the ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels.
• Has up-to-date working knowledge of Health and Safety.
• Can work a multi shift working pattern.

Desirable criteria

• Has previous Aerospace experience.
• Has experience in cellular production line.
• Has previously worked in metal fabrication.

You will work at ITP Aero from its site in Hucknall, Nottinghamshire under the guidance of professionals with extensive experience in the sector in a leading company in aeronautical engines and components that ranks among the top companies in the global aeronautical industry.

What are the working hours?

Following a 3-Shift Pattern:

Mornings:      6.00 am – 2.12 pm Monday-Friday

Afternoons:   1.48 pm – 9.30 pm Monday-Thursday

                     1.48 pm – 7.00 pm Friday

Nights:          9.00 pm – 6.15 am Monday-Thursday

Some production areas have the option of opting in to a voluntary 24/6 shift pattern once suitably trained.
