H&S ENGINEER

 

 

 

Your Main Responsibilities:

  • Risk assessment and risk management.
  • Coordination of the onsite medical services area.
  • Periodic inspections of emergency equipment.
  • Support the coordination of the Emergency Response Team and plant emergency response activities.
  • Support accident and incident investigations, follow-up, and report generation.
  • Coordinate the Safety and Hygiene Committee.
  • Manage contractor work permits and applicable regulations.
  • Manage chemical substances within the plant.
  • Develop monthly inspections for critical equipment.
  • Identify, track, and close preventive and corrective actions.
  • Safety planning focused on improving key safety indicators.

Who We Are Looking For:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree or Engineering degree in a related field.

Experience:

3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position.


Required Knowledge and/or Software:

  • Occupational safety and health regulations.
  • Risk assessment techniques, including ergonomic risk evaluation.
  • Accident and incident investigation.
  • Emergency management.
  • Knowledge of OHSAS 18001 / ISO 14001 standards.
  • Foundry processes, CNC machinery, and conventional machinery.
  • Industrial safety and hygiene strategies aimed at reducing accident rates.
  • Knowledge of local and federal legal requirements.
  • Contractor management.

Preferred Knowledge and/or Software:

  • Advanced database management.
  • First aid and knowledge of the Federal Labor Law.

Languages:

English level: Intermediate (preferred).


Additional Criteria to Consider:

  • Must not currently be under a Performance Improvement Plan.
  • Must not have been removed from pre‑flight status due to incidents such as delays, absenteeism, quality events, yellow/red cards, etc.
