GRADUATE SOFTWARE ENGINEER

Role purpose:

Do you have experience in Engineering Software Development specifically with engineering design tools – ITP Aero are looking for a Graduate ESATAN-TMS Development Engineer to join our team in Whetstone, Leicestershire.

The successful candidate will join our software development team and will work on the development of our ESATAN-TMS product. If you are looking for a new challenge, please read on!

Who we are looking for:

Essential Criteria

• Has a BSc or master’s degree in computer science, software engineering or equivalent.
• Knowledge of programming in C++.
• Experience in Software version control – Git etc
• 1-3 years’ experience in development of software based engineering design tools.
• English speaking.

Desirable Criteria

• Experience in Java, C# or similar.
• Experience in software engineering processes such as Agile Development.
• Experience in object-oriented software design including UML.
• Experience in Graphic libraries, such as OpenGLTM, VULKANTM.

Soft Skills

• Technical problem-solving skills.
• Written and verbal communication / presentation skills.
• Enthusiastic, can-do approach.

Who will I work with?

You will work at ITP Aero from its site in Whetstone, Leicestershire under the guidance of professionals with extensive experience in the sector in a leading company in aeronautical engines and components that ranks among the top companies in the global aeronautical industry.

You will report to the Software Development Manager and work closely with the development team on the maintenance of the product and on the implementation of new functionality.

What training will I receive to be able to carry out the role?

You will be trained in:

• The use of the ESATAN-TMS tool set.
• Use of software development tools.
• Various online software development modules.

What are the working hours?

Days – 37 hours per week working Monday to Friday with flexibility (core hours 09:00-17:00).
