Position Name: Facility Manager- ITP India
The Facility Manager is responsible for ensuring the efficient, safe, and compliant operation of all facility infrastructure within the manufacturing plant. This role oversees building maintenance, utilities, safety systems, vendor management, statutory compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives to support uninterrupted manufacturing operations
Main duties of the position
- Facility Operations & Maintenance
- Oversee maintenance of plant infrastructure including buildings, HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, compressed air systems, DG sets, water treatment plants, and fire systems.
- Maintain preventive and predictive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
- Coordinate with production and engineering teams to ensure utilities are available and reliable.
2. Safety, Compliance & Audits
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and national regulations (fire safety, pollution control, electrical safety, factory act requirements).
- Manage statutory inspections and certifications (boilers, lifts, fire extinguishers, pressure vessels, etc.).
- Lead safety programs such as emergency response planning, evacuation drills, and hazard identification.
3. Vendor & Contractor Management
- Manage contracts for housekeeping, security, gardening, pest control, equipment maintenance, and utility services.
- Evaluate vendor performance and negotiate service agreements and budgets.
- Ensure all contractors follow plant safety rules and SOPs.
4. Utilities Management
- Monitor consumption of electricity, water, gas, steam, and compressed air.
- Optimize operating costs by implementing energy-saving initiatives.
- Troubleshoot utility disruptions to ensure production continuity.
5. Space Planning & Facility Projects
- Manage facility layout changes, expansions, and renovation projects.
- Prepare CapEx proposals for facility upgrades and improvements.
- Coordinate with internal teams for new equipment installation and commissioning.
6. Asset Management & Documentation
- Maintain accurate records of facility assets, maintenance logs, AMC documents, and utility reports.
- Implement facility management systems (CMMS, maintenance tracking tools).
- Ensure timely renewal of facility‑related licenses and permits.
