| Functions and Responsibilities | The Data Scientist – Data Engineer is responsible for software development using Python, as well as the maintenance and development of automated processes, the creation of continuous deployment pipelines, and the management of SQL databases. The Data Scientist will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing predictive models and analytical algorithms applied to aircraft fleet management. These tasks combine advanced technical skills with a strong focus on automation and efficiency in data handling. The role involves developing automated tools for flight data analysis and verifying and ensuring the functionality of these tools in collaboration with Fleet Analysts. In addition, the position requires knowledge of networks and SFTP servers, as well as protocols and ports for secure information transfer. Occasionally, the role may involve web scraping to extract data from websites. The Data Scientist – Data Engineer also develops data engineering tools and neural networks for advanced data processing and analysis. |
| Required Profile | Experience: Preferred 3 years of experience working as a Data Scientist, with specific experience in operations data analysis or fleet management (preferably in the aerospace sector). Experience with data analysis tools such as Python, R, SQL, and cloud analytics platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure). Knowledge of predictive models, machine learning, and mathematical optimization applied to complex systems. Technical skills: Expert knowledge of programming languages such as Python (libraries including pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Keras, etc.) and cloud technologies. Knowledge of web application development tools (e.g., Flutter, JavaScript, and Angular) is considered a plus. Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL). Experience in data integration and consumption through APIs. Experience with code management tools (e.g., Git, Subversion) and continuous deployment tools (pipelines, DevOps). Familiarity with fleet management systems and aerospace technologies (e.g., aircraft monitoring systems, predictive maintenance). Knowledge of optimization algorithms and time series analysis techniques. Knowledge of visualization tools such as Tableau, Diadem, or Power BI is a plus. |
