CNC PROGRAMMER

 

 

Position Objectives

  • Stable and robust machining processes.

  • Capability to develop CNC programs for new part numbers.

  • Compliance with cost and delivery timelines required by the customer.

  • Continuous improvement: cost reduction and defect reduction.

  • Ensure continuity and stable release of programs into Production.

  • Generate stable, robust, and repeatable CNC machining processes.

  • Create standard work instructions for the position.

  • Launch new products in compliance with established standards.


Your Main Responsibilities

  • Generate CNC programs for new developments and product industrialization.

  • Define machining strategies in collaboration with the Process Engineer.

  • Define cutting tools and machining parameters.

  • Implement engineering changes, customer-driven changes, and improvements according to internal procedures.

  • Propose, implement, and follow up on improvements to machining programs, including cycle time reduction, cost reduction, and defect elimination.

  • Generate the technical documentation required to support the production area.


Who We Are Looking For

Education

  • Technician or Engineer in Manufacturing, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; completed or in progress.

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a CNC programmer or operator in the aerospace or metal-mechanical industry.

  • Preferred: 5 years of experience as a CNC programmer machining special materials (Inco 713/718, C263, Jethete, Haynes, MAR M247, Incoloy).


Required Knowledge and/or Software

  • CAD/CAM/CNC systems with process simulation: SIEMENS NX.

  • CNC programming, preferably with SIEMENS 840D control.

  • Machining simulation software: VERICUT.


Preferred Knowledge and/or Software

  • ISO CNC programming (G and M codes).

  • CNC programming at the machine and/or via CAM software.

  • Interpretation of 2D/3D drawings and models.

  • Cutting tool selection and machining parameters.

  • Machine setup and adjustments.

  • Supervision of machining processes and first-piece approval.

  • Cycle time optimization and continuous improvement mindset.

  • Initial machine calibration (work zero, tool offsets, machine offsets).

  • Configuration of tool paths, speeds, and feeds.

  • Dimensional inspection using measurement instruments.

  • Support for continuous improvement and SCRAP reduction.

  • Definition of machining strategies (roughing, finishing, high-speed machining).

  • Metrology and quality control.

  • Execution and verification of machining operations, running CNC programs, and supervising the process.
