Validation Engineer (F/M/X):
Main responsibilities of the position:
- To perform Validation Engineering activities for Prototype testing and Compliance reporting, in order to gather and submit the substantiating evidence with requirements defined for Defense projects.
- To assess normative and product requirements for validation at Module and Engine Level i.a.w P-0357 Procedure.
- To prepare Validation strategy and validation plans at Component, Module and Engine Level i.a.w P-0357 Procedure
- To coordinate the Test requirements from technical expertise areas (i.e. Desing, Thermal, Stress, Systems, Controls, Performance, Testing...) in order to obtain risk mitigation and design hypothesis validation as well as to increase the confidence level in the selected design opportunities.
- To identify the instrumentation types and channels and Special To Project Equipment (SPTE) as well as instrumentation quantities associated.
- To identify Prototype hardware requirements for instrumentation fitting and interfaces for instrumentation
- To prepare Prototype hardware ordering quantities and schedule delivery requirements in SAP to be purchased across Manufacturing and Supply organizations
- To prepare Engineering Instructions for assembling Modules/ Engines i.a.w ID-1282 Procedure; (i.e. DSWIs, BRS, VRS, Should Build, As Built Reports)
- Engine Test Programme; Role of Engine Owner as focal point for the Engine test requirements scope
- Module/ Component Rig Test programme; Role of Rig Owner as engineering focal point for the Rig test requirements scope
- To raise Defects reports during Test phase by following FRACAS forms (i.a.w. I-0711 FRACAS procedure)
- To support technical expertise areas and integrate Failure Root Cause Investigations for Failure Review Board (FRB) meeting
- Test Data Treatment and Data transfer through GEDE systems i.a.w Test requirements defined by technical areas
- Validation Reports generation under validation Technical Function scope (i.e. Mechanical Condition after test Reporting, Flight Approval Sheets, Compliance reports and Standardization reports for changes...)
- To raise strategies and plan for Change Control and procuring technical support of the product changes
Validation Strategy and Plans
- Test requirements need and supply - write and support other writers for testing addressed to Bench- Flight Test and Rig Test)
- Liaison with the ITP Technical Areas in order to obtain all test requirements
- Prototype hardware definition requirements and to support experimental design approval
- Instrumentation requirements, manage instrumentation interfaces identification and to support Instrumentation design technical areas
- Experimental hardware ordering in SAP for manufacturing and supply component Movement plan across test programme
- To generate instructions for Engine and/or module -system Assembly
- To support Assembly Risk analysis and support Assembly Tooling definition
- Test Data tranfer to Tehcnical areas
- To raise defect reporting during / after test and support Root Cause analysis including management
- Compliance reporting with Qualification / Certification / Requirements
- Strategy and management of change control requirements
What profile are we looking for?
Education: Engineering Degree or Master qualified in Aerospace or aerospace related discipline.
Languages: Fluency in English
Desirable Knowledge: Aero engine- basic knowledge (e.g. Engine architectures, basic design, experiment technologies)
Soft Skills
- Open mind to learnt various ITP Systems at user levels (PLM , SAP , SharePoint, GEDE, DESI ... )
- Open mind to learnt and work in accordance with ITP Procedures on Technical Function of Validation (P-357 Validation & Certification procedures and associated).
- Ability to work within a collaboration environment of any technical functions.
- High Level of Cooperation readyness with other ITP Technical functions.
- Ability to work within a collaboration environment across partner companies, located across Europe.
