What is the objective of this project?

ITP Aero is looking for a Software Development Engineer to help shape the next generation of aeroengine simulation technologies. You will contribute to the development of advanced computational tools that support the design and analysis of highly efficient gas turbine engines, playing a key role in the future of sustainable aviation.

In this position you can:

• Develop expertise in advanced numerical methods applied to the simulation of aeronautical gas turbine engines.
• Design and implement high-performance computing (HPC) solutions to accelerate aeroengine development.
• Integrate, optimize and enhance simulation tools used across the aeroengine design process.
• Contribute to the technology roadmap and digital transformation of aeroengine design and analysis tools.
• Support the development of innovative, high-efficiency aeroengine components through cutting-edge simulation technologies.

 What profile we are looking for?

Academic degree

• Master's Degree or PhD in Engineering (Aeronautical, Mechanical, Aerospace, or related disciplines).

Experience required

• 2+ years of experience in the development, implementation and validation of software algorithms for the numerical solution of ODEs and PDEs.
• Strong programming skills in C++, including experience with parallel computing techniques for HPC environments on CPUs and GPUs.

Necessary Knowledge

• Solid understanding of turbomachinery and propulsion systems.
• Strong background in numerical methods and scientific computing.
• Knowledge of computational geometry, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), High-Order methods, Lattice Boltzmann Methods (LBM), Artificial Intelligence, Deep Learning or AI Agents will be considered a strong asset.

Language

• Advanced level of English.
