Objective | To define and support repair process of gas turbine hardware, ensure safe, robust, and cost/time effective processes are in place; both internally in ITP Aero Repair Shops workstations and externally in ITP Aero suppliers. |
Functions and Responsabilities | To define and support repair process of gas turbine hardware, ensure safe, robust, and cost/time effective processes are in place; both internally in ITP Aero Repair Shops workstations and externally in ITP Aero suppliers. • To liaise with ITP Aero Repair Engineering specialists to define, validate and support repair processes. • To define validation strategies to fulfil internal and external requirements of repair processes, including special processes, machining and measuring strategies, etc. • To validate tooling and machinery related with repair processes. • To liaise and provide technical support to operators about processes, products and working together to fix any issue in daily production. • To liaise with Original Engine Manufacturer to propose technical solutions to in service issues, get technical support and approval of deviations and concessions. • To represent ITP Aero in technical and programme meetings and audits with customers, consortium partners or quality organizations. • To take part and coordinate multidisciplinary team to perform Root Cause Analysis of quality issues and define contention, preventive and corrective actions. • To take part in the improvement of Maintenance Standards of Engines in which ITP Aero has design responsibility, liaising with specialists across ITP Aero engineering organization. • To lead new product introduction, taking part in new capabilities, processes or programmes introduction in MRO Shops. |
Required Profile | Aerospace, Industrial /Materials Engineer. • Proven knowledge in thermal spray (i.e. Air Plasma Spray, HVOF and/or flame spray) • Has project management knowledge and understands sequencing, priority setting and critical path analysis • Has understanding of manufacturing/repair processes relevant to the business. • Has understanding of Aerospace materials and related standards. • Knowledge of Manufacturing Systems and ERP (CAD, CAM, SAP, Technical Publications, Siemens Team centre, etc.) is desirable. • Knowledge of common IT tools: Excel, PowerPoint, Sharepoint, Outolook. • Has good communications skills and the ability to communicate at all levels of the organisation. • Willing to learn and develop within team work in a cross-functional team. • Is self-organized and focused but adaptive and able to prioritize in order to deal with different projects and priorities during normal running of business. It is desirable that the successful candidate: • Has a background in Aerospace Manufacturing or Maintenance business, especially in engineering and production areas. • Has proven experience in CNC (Siemens, Heidenhain) and/or CMM (Mitutoyo MCosmos, Hexagon PC-DIS) programming. • Has knowledge of Special Processes (NDT, Welding, Chemical, Coatings, etc). Specific processes qualifications (NDT, welding, etc) would be an advantage. • Has knowledge about International, Aerospace Quality and Airworthiness regulations and standards (NADCAP, EASA, AS13000, AS9100, etc) |
