GTF Engine Gates Planning & Performance Manager (F/M/X)
At ITP Aero Ajalvir we are looking to incorporate a manager into the GTF Team.
Mission:
Reporting to the GTF MRO Operations Director, the candidate will lead the planning, execution tracking, and performance management of all GTF engine shop visits throughout the Pratt & Whitney Gate Management process. The role is responsible for ensuring that each engine progresses through the defined Gates and milestones in accordance with schedule commitments, while continuously monitoring and improving operational performance in terms of Turn Around Time (TAT), cost, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Main duties of the position:
- Acting as the focal point for engine execution, this position drives cross-functional alignment, identifies risks and bottlenecks, and leads recovery and improvement actions to ensure the successful delivery and profitability of the GTF MRO program.
- Own the planning and day-to-day management of each GTF engine shop visit through the Pratt & Whitney-defined Gate Management process.
- Develop, maintain, and continuously update detailed Gate plans for every inducted engine, ensuring accurate forecasting of milestones, completion dates, and customer deliveries.
- Monitor engine progression through all Gates, identifying schedule deviations, risks, and recovery opportunities to maintain delivery commitments.
- Coordinate cross-functional activities involving Operations, Production, Engineering, Materials, Supply Chain, Quality, and Customer Support to ensure execution according to plan.
- Lead performance reviews for active shop visits, providing visibility of engine status, Gate adherence, and critical issues requiring management attention.
- Analyse operational and business performance indicators, including:
- Turn Around Time (TAT)
- Shop Visit cost performance
- Productivity metrics
- Quality performance and rework rates
- Gate compliance and milestone achievement
- Identify bottlenecks, performance gaps, and operational risks affecting schedule, cost, or quality objectives and drive mitigation plans.
- Define, coordinate, and track corrective and continuous improvement actions to enhance operational efficiency and program performance.
- Support the implementation of Lean, Continuous Improvement, and Digital Transformation initiatives aimed at improving GTF MRO performance.
- People and Health & Safety Management within his/her area of responsibility.
What profile are we looking for?
Background: Aerospace Engineer with experience in MRO BU, programme management, planning and schedule performance
Knowledge & Technical Competencies:
- Understanding of aerospace MRO operations and engine overhaul processes.
- Knowledge of GTF engine programs and Pratt & Whitney operational requirements.
- Project planning, scheduling, and performance management.
- Advanced analytical and data interpretation skills.
- Experience with ERP and planning systems (SAP, Power BI, Excel, MS Project or equivalent).
